Thanks for being patient with me as I took my time finishing Chapter One. There are some more changes coming, namely returning some material from my original story treatment (the bit with the old sage telling Kara’s story) in an expanded form as the very first scene.
I hope you all enjoy the newest installment, completing the draft of the all-important first chapter. Now that I’ve set the tone for the story I can return my focus to my college work and finish plotting the novel with a clearer sense of how the story will read.
Thanks for all the support, everyone. It means the world to me.
I’m nearly finished with Chapter 1 of Royal Redemption, and once I’m finished with the opening chapter I’ll be returning my focus to my school work. But it was recently suggested to me that I might want to put up a page with the cast of characters on it. I thought that was a great idea, so I’ve started working on that. It’s a work in progress., so watch for me to add more characters over time. Click the link here to have a look!

I love it when the words seem to come easily. I credit Rachel Aaron and her plotting advice for that. For me, having a plan changes everything. Having a roadmap makes things so much easier. Thank you, Rachel.
So, yes. Chapter One, Scene 2 is posted. Tell me what you think, y’all!
I decided to go ahead and start writing Royal Redemption last night. I got most of the way through the opening scene. I’m pretty tired and only have a few hours to get some sleep before class, but let me know what you think, please? It’s been a good while since I’ve written anything, so hopefully I’m not too rusty.
